Does the Mach 6 actually run narrow, or is that overblown on r/Hoka?
It really does run narrow in the forefoot, and the warning is not overblown for wide-foot buyers. Wide-foot owners who tried the standard D width consistently report toe numbness and side pressure: one r/Hoka user said she usually wears wide, bought the Mach 6, found them too narrow, and stopped using them after toe numbness set in I usually use wide, I bought the Mach 6 and they were too narrow. After using the Mach 6 my toes felt numb. I stopped using them. Another returned them because they were killing the sides of his feet, even at his usual size i returned them because they were killing my feet on the sides(too narrow). If you are standard or narrow, true to size works; wide feet need 2E or step up to Clifton.
