The Vans Old Skool, originally known as Style 36, debuted in 1977 as the second skate shoe from Vans. It was the first to feature the iconic Sidestripe, previously called the Jazz Stripe, cementing its place in footwear history. Renamed the Old Skool in the early '90s, it has since become a Vans Classic.
