OVERVIEW
Tracksmith's race fabric has one name — Van Cortlandt, and one story: the 1,146-acre park in the Bronx where Heps, IC4As, and a century of NCAA cross country have been won and lost. Cut from an 82/18 polyester-spandex, quick-drying and race-cut with flatlock seams, a reflective hem detail, and the hare embroidered at the chest. The shirt you pull on when the workout is a workout, Tuesday mile repeats, Thursday tempo efforts, a summer Saturday long run that starts in the dark and ends in full sun. The spiritual sibling of the debut-collection Van Cortlandt Singlet, and the direct descendant of the 2:09 Mesh, named for Boston Billy Rodgers' 1975 Boston Marathon American record, which he set in a mesh tee he found in the trash.
