The War on Drugs' 2021 studio album, "I Don't Live Here Anymore," marks their first release in four years. The album's genesis began shortly after their 2018 Grammy win for Best Rock Album, when core members Adam Granduciel, Dave Hartley, and Anthony LaMarca convened in upstate New York. These initial sessions focused on improvisational jamming and demo creation, deviating from their established live roles and yielding early iterations of several key tracks on the album.
