    R19Z6 "Machine Knit" (Tarndie Polwarth)

    ---

Oversized machine knit sweater. Wide, relaxed body, knitted in an 8-gauge fisherman knit. Dropped shoulders, generous room through the armholes, long sleeves, thin ribbing at the neckline, cuffs, and hem. An experiment in production, to map the few wool suppliers and processors still operating in Australia. Made of 100% Polwarth Wool. Grown on the Tarndie farm in Warncoort, South-Western Victoria, where a single flock has been cared for by the same family since 1840. The greyish-brown fleece of Polwarth wool can only be scoured by one mill, EP Robinson, for just two weeks each year due to the risk of color contamination across clean white wool lines. Grown, scoured, spun, and knitted in its natural color for MAN–TLE in Victoria, Australia.
