GLOBE BLAZER 26” CRUISER - EAMES PLAY

Mini diamond-tail cruiser with soft conical wheels. The Blazer 26 in Eames/Play features Mellow concave with kicktail and is constructed from Rosewood + Resin-7 hard rock maple.

In 1951, the Eames' had eclectic passions; Charles was more than an architect, and Ray was more than a painter. Together, their broad spectrum of interests resulted in a catalog of film, photography, furniture, and even, yes, toys. Charles once said, “Toys are not really as innocent as they look. Toys and games are precursors to serious ideas.”

To paraphrase Charles, it will in the end be the details that give this product its life. You may notice a moulded pattern in the wheels inspired by the Eames FSW (Folding Plywood Screen), deck bolts featuring the “sunburst” icon, quotes in House Industries x Eames typefaces, and more upon close inspection.
