The 005 is norda's race day shoe - engineered from the ground up for high-speed trail performance rather than adapted from road super shoe conventions. Built around an open-weave bio-based Dyneema upper, a pure Arnitel TPEE foam midsole, and an exclusive Vibram Megagrip Elite soleplate, it delivers a rare combination of low weight, responsive energy return, and meaningful grip on technical terrain. At 214 g for a men's US 8.5, the 005 sits among the lightest trail racing shoes available, yet its Dyneema construction - up to 15x stronger than steel by weight - gives it the durability to handle multiple race days and long training miles alike.

Open-weave bio-based Dyneema upper provides extreme abrasion resistance while remaining hydrophobic - water drains rather than saturating the upper, keeping weight low across wet terrain.

Arnitel TPEE foam midsole offers a highly responsive, super-critical foam feel tuned specifically for the demands of trail race day, with strong energy return underfoot.

Exclusive Vibram Megagrip Elite soleplate features 4.0 mm lugs developed in collaboration with norda, delivering traction across technical, slick, and mixed terrain.

Anatomical toe box allows natural foot splay and accommodates wider forefeet without classifying as a dedicated wide fit - runners with both narrow and wider feet have found the fit secure.

No-padding heel design uses lockdown pods for a uniquely adaptable heel hold with minimal debris entry - a deliberate departure from conventional padded collars.

Two-insole system - one moulded, one die-cut - allows runners to choose their preferred underfoot feel or to swap in a custom orthotic; both insoles are removable.

4.0 mm diamond-pattern shoelaces in Bio-Dyneema and recycled polyester complete the lightweight, durable construction throughout.
