This 12" x 16" print celebrates Bill Barilko, a pivotal player for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Barilko was instrumental in four Stanley Cup victories during his five seasons with the team, winning in 1947, 1948, 1949, and 1951. His career was tragically cut short when he died in a floatplane crash in August 1951. The Maple Leafs retired his number 5 jersey, and his story is famously referenced in The Tragically Hip's song "Fifty Mission Cap." The team did not win another championship until 1962, the same year his remains were discovered.
