JA 3 "LUNAR NEW YEAR"

Nike has begun unveiling their annual Chinese New Year collection, paying tribute to the Year of the Horse on the Ja 3 "Lunar New Year". The horse represents bravery, fortune and honor in the Chinese zodiac, embodied by a brown woven mesh upper covered in a bright red textured overlay pattern that fans out to create the shoe's signature scratch pattern . A J-like vertical gold swoosh on the side sits next to a grafitti-inspired, brown A-shaped textured overlay to serve as Ja's new personal logo. The swoosh and overlays overlap onto the full-length red Hybrid ZoomX foam midsole, while a brown pony hair tongue calls back to the horse theme. Branding on the tongue, toe and heel, and a Chinese calligraphy on the insoles that translates to "One horse leading the way" finishes off the design.
