These boardshorts are first stamped using a unique woodblock covered in hot wax, then dipped in a fermented natural indigo dye vat to achieve a rich indigo color, and finally washed in hot water to reveal the design left by the wax’s resistance. This natural wax-resist printing process is called “Batik” and is clean for the makers, our skin and sustainable for the environment. A simple linear print makes a modern update to the IOAN Boardshorts made from 100% organic cotton in Tamil Nadu, India designed with a straight-cut fit.
