Ethiopia is supposedly the birthplace of coffee; Legend has it that an Ethiopian goat farmer discovered coffee after noticing that his goats became a little extra energized after eating certain berries found on his land.
- Prison Alley: They recently discovered a coffee they love from a small farm in the Mt Elgon region of the Uganda/Kenya border. Grown at a high altitude in fertile, volcanic soil, this coffee has an interesting flavor profile of with notes of caramel, cocoa, cherry and citrus. Prison Alley is one of a handful of alleys that tell the backstreet stories of Hudson New York. This alley runs behind the Roast Room adjacent to the Cafe.
