Boy's Own was a seminal publication that emerged around the same time as London's house music scene, documenting the acid house revolution from within. Founded in 1986 by Terry Farley, Cymon Eckel, Steve Mayes, Steve Hall, and the late Andrew Weatherall, it blended clubbing and football terrace culture with a satirical insider's perspective on the fashion and music connecting both worlds. Known for its DIY aesthetic, including intentional misspellings and Pritt Stick designs, Boy's Own became a voice of its era and a catalyst for many of its movements.
