Adidas × Song for the Mute
Before ADI006 and ADI007, Song for the Mute's adidas Originals work ran on three silhouettes: the Shadowturf (SFTM-001, 2022) with its honeycomb-textured midsole, the chunky Adistar Cushion with its nubuck cage and pony hair toe cap, and the Superstar 82 in hand-sanded leather and dust-and-bone tones. Most of this bucket released between 2022 and March 2025; stock now lives mainly through resale, boutique deadstock, and restock listings rather than fresh launches.
These predate the ADI006/ADI007 numbering and are tracked by SFTM-001 (Shadowturf, 2022) onward. Sneaker News framed the original Shadowturf as a 2000s-inspired model that took to market through an ultra-limited APAC-exclusive Crimson colorway of 100 pairs before wider re-releases. The Superstar 82 pack and Adistar Cushion pack both released March 13, 2025 via the adidas Confirmed app at USD 140 to 160.
