The Taekwondo is the women's chapter of the franchise, handed to Caroline Hu as guest designer. Hu treats the low-profile martial arts shoe as a ballet flat: the tongue is gone, replaced by elastic zig-zagging straps drawn from slipper ribbons against a patent leather upper. Womenswear designer Caroline Hu joined CLOT and adidas Originals on a three-way Taekwondo project. The Soleretriever release piece notes the capsule pairs Hu's ballet-leaning sensibility with the Taekwondo silhouette across three colorways: JR6485, JR6919, and KK1395.
Hypebeast describes elastic, zig-zagging straps at the mid-foot drawing from ballet flat ribbons. Soleretriever puts it more bluntly: the tongues are replaced by ballet-slipper-style elastic forefoot straps, sitting against the low-profile Taekwondo upper.
