Caroline Hu Taekwondo: the womenswear lane

Womenswear designer Caroline Hu joined CLOT and adidas Originals on a three-way Taekwondo project. The Soleretriever release piece notes the capsule pairs Hu's ballet-leaning sensibility with the Taekwondo silhouette across three colorways: JR6485, JR6919, and KK1395.

Hypebeast describes elastic, zig-zagging straps at the mid-foot drawing from ballet flat ribbons. Soleretriever puts it more bluntly: the tongues are replaced by ballet-slipper-style elastic forefoot straps, sitting against the low-profile Taekwondo upper.

All three colorways released on 4 October 2025 at $150 USD, via adidas.com and CLOT's worldwide retailers. Sizing is women's only across the run.

Sandy Pink/Silver Metallic/Almost Pink (JR6485), Off White/Silver Metallic/Brown (JR6919), and Core Black/Carbon/Carbon Metallic (KK1395). Soleretriever uses Triple Black, Soft Pink, and Off White as the working shorthand.

Soleretriever's release page identifies a patent leather upper across all three colorways, with silver Three Stripes on the sides, a Trefoil on the heel tab, CLOT logo on the medial heel, and a gum outsole on the white pair.

Hypebeast frames this as the convergence of Hu's womenswear sensibility and Chen's streetwear practice on an adidas archive silhouette. Where the Mundial and Pro Model lines lean masculine, the Taekwondo capsule is the womenswear lane of the franchise.
