Spitfire was founded in San Francisco in 1987 by Jim Thiebaud as part of the Deluxe Distribution family alongside Real, Anti-Hero, and Venture. The brand's Bighead logo (1992) and Formula Four urethane wheels (2013) cemented its status as skateboarding's dominant wheel manufacturer.
