retaW was founded in 2009 in Tokyo by Hiroshi Fujiwara and Daisuke Murakami as a fragrance and lifestyle offshoot of the Fragment Design universe. The name — "water" spelled backwards — reflects the brand's ethos of essential daily objects, producing candles, fabric sprays, hand creams, and room fragrances.
