Engineered Garments was founded in New York in 1999 by Japanese-born designer Daiki Suzuki, a Nepenthes alumnus who went on to win the CFDA's first-ever "Best New Menswear Designer" award in 2008. The label lives by its mantra "not designed, but engineered," fusing vintage prep, military surplus, and blue-collar workwear into intricately constructed pieces.
