Cav Empt was founded in Tokyo in 2011 by Sk8thing, the graphic designer behind BAPE and Billionaire Boys Club, alongside Toby Feltwell, former creative partner at BBC/Ice Cream. The label built a cult following through dystopian graphics, heavy technical fabrics, and a deliberately opaque identity that blurs the line between streetwear and conceptual art.
